<p>The present invention refers to a probe (1) for insertion into a reaction vessel in order to determine the contents thereof by on-line optical analysis, the probe comprising a first light transmitting means in a tube (5) which extends into the vessel and is intended for transmittance of light to a measuring portion (4) containing a sample of the contents, the light being passed through the sample, reflected against a reflector (28) and received by a second light transmitting means in the tube (5) for analysis of the illuminated sample outside the reaction vessel. Means (6-8) outside the reaction vessel at the end of the tube (5) are arranged for altering the path-length between the light transmitting means in the tube (5) and the reflector (28) so as to obtain different readings of the sample.</p> |
