Described is a method of producing cable strands laminated in a pre-defined array, the strands being movable with respect to each other in the cable and insulated by foamed polyethylene. The method calls for a composite film made of polyethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene or polyethylene terephthalate to be used as the laminate.
