The guide rails (18) have elastic noses (26) or claws (29,30) at the ends. The noses or claws engage over end faces on the slide (11), which extend at right angles to the longitudinal centre axis of the slide. At least one claw projects over the side of the edge section of the guide rail. The rail end with the claw has a weakened cross section. The rail end also has an open axial slot (36), which extends between the side walls (21) of a guide groove (20). This is located in the inside of the rail facing the slide axis. Its side walls extend to the claws.
