Cheap uncooled hot air dryer with slot nozzle occupies little space

An appts. dries the surfaces of objects by applying warm air as a stream onto the object from a long extended slot-like nozzle in an air duct. Here, an infra-red radiator (3) is placed in the duct (1). Pref. the infra-red radiator extends along the duct interior (2) the length of the slot-like nozzle (4) which is made of radiation transparent material, i.e. quartz, pref. coated and capable of being darkened. The nozzle is formed from two strips (5,6) of the said material running at an angle to each other, tapering with the current direction and either chamfered to form the facing slot surfaces (10,11) or edged with metal to form the nozzle mouth (15).
