The shielding efficiency measurement damps out the cavity resonances falsifying the measured value by means of absorber material. The efficiency of the cavity in the body model is reduced by a sleeving of the probes with absorber material as a component part of the body model, before the measurements with or without the protective clothing. A measuring system measures the shielding efficiency of the protective suit or clothing and consists of the body model provided with probes, which can be covered with a HF frequency protective suit, pref. a double walled hollow body with a pref. elliptical section is located in the body, pref. in the breast region of the body model. Which in the inner air space contains the probes (2), and between the double wall (1) contains a homogeneous damping material (3) , pref. a saline soln.
