Clamp for attaching accessories to hospital bed

The accessory clamp (2) grips the underside (3), the front (4) and the upper side (5) of the accessory side rail (1) which has a square cross-section. The clamp has two lugs (8,9) on the rear side (6) which enclose an opening (7) of the clamp. The lower lug (9) is connected to a lever which projects vertically downwards whose operation removes the lower lug from the rail such that it can be pulled over the underside. The clamp comprises an indentation (11) on its front side. The indentation has a hole in which a nut (12) is fixed. An L-shaped holder (13) has a through hole into such a screw (14) is inserted whose thread (15) engages in the nut. The material used in the construction of the clamp is sprung steel such that the lever can be pushed to slip the lower lug onto the rail.
