Corrugated plastics pipe connector

The connector has an open end (3), a bore (5) which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe and a tapered end (6). The pipe is pushed in until it firmly seats at the bottom of the taper. A liquid tight seal is formed as the pipe is compressed. Two locking members (9) formed in the connector wall prevents the pipe from becoming disconnected. The projections (10) lock into a valley of the corrugations of the piping such that the face (12) abuts up against a ridge of the corrugations and holds the pipe in place. A seal could replace the tapered section or be used in conjunction with it.
