AC voltage or variable electric field measuring method

Voltage or electric field is measured by splitting polarised measurement light (L) into two linearly polarised light signals (LS1,LS2) with different polarisation planes after the measurement light has passed through a Pockels sensor. The two light signals are photoelectrically converted into electrical intensity signals (S1,S2). A temp. signal (T) is obtained from the DC components (D1,D2) of the intensity signals, and an evaluation signal (S) is obtained from the AC components. The evaluation signal and the temp. signal are used to output a temp. independent measurement signal (M).
