PURPOSE: To obtain a device with thin profile and excellent portability by arranging a display means of a panel form in which picture elements are arranged as a matrix and an image pickup means of a panel form in which light receiving elements are arranged as a matrix opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 2 is provided with 1st and 2nd transparent substrates 101, 102 and a picture element drive element array 104 in which picture elements are arranged as a matrix is formed to an opposed face of the substrates 101, 102. Furthermore, a liquid crystal display layer 105 is inserted between both substrates 101, 102 and picture elements are formed to the liquid crystal display layer 105 between respective picture element drive elements and an opposite electrode 106. An image pickup panel 6 is provided with a 3rd transparent substrate 103, one side of which an image pickup element array 3 with plural image pickup elements thereon as a matrix is formed. Moreover, a light guide member 4 used to lead a reflected light from an object to the array 3 is arranged to a front side of the array 3. The guide member 4 decides an image pickup system of the image input output device depending on the presence of a converging point and at which position of the array 3 the converging point is located. |
