PURPOSE: To obtain a CATV communication system and a terminal in which a delay time matching a specific symbol rate is surely given to each terminal without imposing a large load to the terminal and a center communication equipment. CONSTITUTION: A reception symbol clock Rxc and a reception frame clock Rxf from a data demodulator of a terminal are given to a frequency divider 1, from which 32 kinds of 1/32 frequency division signals whose phases differ from each other are outputted to a selector 2. The selector 2 selects one of the frequency division signals, the selected signal is fed to one input of a phase comparator 3, and a phase comparison output of the phase comparator 3 is fed to a variable frequency oscillator 5 via a low pass filter 4, fed to a data modulator as a transmission symbol clock and to a fixed frequency divider 6 and also to the other phase comparison input of the phase comparator 3. |
