PURPOSE: To manufacture an image receiving sheet of high recording density with almost no tailings and scummings and without uneven printing by specifying the exposure rate of pulp fiber and the surface roughness of a recording layer in a recording sheet manufactured by using a raw material formed by mixing at least pulp fiber with a pigment. CONSTITUTION: In a recording sheet with a recording layer formed by applying a coating material containing at least a pigment and an aqueous bonding agent of 0.5-5g/m<2> as a pigment solid content on a substrate composed mainly of pulp fiber, the pulp fiber is mixed with the pigment on a recording surface and exposed thereon. The exposure rate of pulp fiber is 20% or smaller by the area ratio, and the surface roughness of the recording surface is formed in the range of 2.5-5μm measued by a print-surf surface roughness tester. The solid content weight ratio between the pigment and the aqueous bonding agent is set to be 0/50-90/10, and the magnesium carbonate is used for the pigment. The heat transfer recording sheet of uniform transferability without uneven printing and superior travel stability is manufactured by the arrangement. |
