发明名称 MICROCATHETER
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a microcatheter for infusion insertable into finer peripheral blood vessel by consisting of the front end part of a shaft of a tubular meterial having a porous structure without including communicating holes and specifying the length, outside diameter and thickness of the tube wall of this tubular material. CONSTITUTION: The front end part of the shaft 2 consists of the tubular material 3 having the porous structure. The length of the porous structure of the front end part is in a range of 20 to 60cm if the section of the peripheral blood vessel to be inserted, the length thereof and the operability of insertion are taken into consideration. The outside diameter thereof is in a range of 1 to 0.3mm in order to be inserted into the fine peripheral blood vessel. The thickness of the tube wall is in a range of 0.2 to 0.05mm. The internal cavity of the catheter is larger as this thickness is smaller insofar as the necessary strength as the catheter is maintainable. The improved operability of a guiding wire and an increased amt. of the liquid to be injected are then resulted and, therefore, this range is more preferable. The pressure resistance strength of the shaft 2 is not particularly restricted, insofar as the shaft withstands the pressure at the time of injection of a contrast medium, therapeutic medicines, closing material, etc.
