<p>PURPOSE: To perform the stable automatic control of aeration quantity without allowing bactera in a bottom material to generate bulking when the bottom material sludge accumulated on the bottom of the water is activated by aeration. CONSTITUTION: When bacteria in the bottom material accumulated on the bottom of the water are activated by aeration, aeration quantity is controlled under the initial aeration condition corresponding to necessary oxygen quantity given by the time integration of a dissolved oxygen concn. measured value while the dissolved oxygen concn. in the bottom material is measured and, before the concn. of dissolved oxygen reaches the max. value, the aeration quantity corresponding to the concn. of the hydrogen ion in the bottom material and the lowering of COD and BOD is changed over so as to correspond to stable oxygen quality less than necessary oxygen quantity.</p> |
