METHOD FOR IMMUNIZING ANIMAL

PURPOSE: To express a gene coding desired antigen in a liver cell and produce a monoclonal antibody by introducing the gene into an initial culture liver cell of an animal by 'Lipofectin(R)'. CONSTITUTION: A complex of a cationic liposome with a gene coding a desired antigen is formed and the complex is introduced into an initial cultured liver cell of an animal. The cationic liposome is bound to the circumference of DNA having a negative charge and forms an artificial lipid double layer. Besides, since the cell has negative charge and readily can take positive charge therein and an unit membrane forms the lipid double layer, the cell fuses with the cationic liposome. The resultant liver cell immunizes a same kind of animal as the derived animal. Immunizing operation is carried out by subjecting a suspension of the liver cell into intraperitoneal or intravenous administration.
