PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle tire which can provide good transverse traction by increasing braking deceleration on wet roads while forward acceleration on snow is hardly or not worsened at all. SOLUTION: A tread 2 has at least in its axial edge regions L, R cutouts 3 which extend approximately axially as seen from above. The cutouts are in the form of corrugations with the crests 4 and troughs 5 of the corrugations being approximately in a straight line extending diagonally within a transverse plane. The crests 4 and troughs 5 of the corrugations are oriented to advance radially outward along the cutouts 3 within the transverse plane and reach an axial inside portion, and are extended with an inclination within the transverse plane. |
