CONSTITUTION: A burning catalyst unit 1 has an upstream side catalyst 11 and a downstream side catalyst 13 disposed at positions where the geometric factor a from the opposed surface 11a of the catalyst 11 to the catalyst 13 to the opposed surface 13a of the catalyst 13 to the catalyst 11 is 0.1<=α<=0.8.
