PURPOSE: To provide a bright three-dimensional image by controlling an advance direction of light so that an optical element image for right eye capable of electrically controlling the advance direction of light arrives at the right eye, and the image for left eye arrives at the left eye. CONSTITUTION: Pixel parts of a liquid crystal cell 10 for direction control are provided on respective pixel parts 4, 5 corresponding respectively, and a control pixel part 12 is provided for the pixel part 5 of the image for right eye, and the control pixel part 11 is provided for the pixel part 4 of the image for left eye. The control pixel part 11 and the control pixel part 12 are constituted so that directions of high transmissivity become opposite directions substantially by changing an orientation direction of a liquid crystal. Then, the light transmitting through the pixel part 5 of the image for right eye is controlled so that its advance direction faces to the right eye 21 by the control pixel part 12, and the light transmitting through the pixel part 4 of the image for left eye is controlled so that its advance direction faces to the left eye 22 by the control pixel part 11. |
