PURPOSE: To improve safety at the fitting time to a vehicle and enable the forced operation of an inflator as it is fitted to the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A trigger lever engaged with an ignition pin 22 is brought into contact with an inertial mass body 30, and the trigger lever is rotated by the movement of the inertial mass body 30 to release the engagement of the ignition pin 22. An arm having a protruding part loosely fitted into an oblong hole formed at the inertial mass body 30 is formed at a safety release plate. A release plate is fitted to a shaft engaged with the base end side of the safety release plate, and a switching plate is engaged with the release plate. A stopper member coming in contact with the release plate is formed at the switching plate so as to prevent the unprepared movement of the release plate.
