PURPOSE: To provide a range finder for a camera constituted so that a proper focusing action can be executed even when the temperature of a signal processing means is changed. CONSTITUTION: This range finder is provided with a temperature measurement means 9 measuring the temperature of the signal processing means 4 and outputting the temperature information thereof to a control means 5. Since distance information obtained as for a range finding object is changed according to the driving voltage of the processing means 4, the driving voltage of the processing means 4 is adjusted according to the temperature thereof by the control means 5. Thus, since the level of the driving voltage is set to such a level that the change of the distance information caused by the temperature change of the processing means 4 is reduced, the change of the distance information caused by the temperature change of the processing means 4 is suppressed. Therefore, the proper focusing action is executed by this range finder even when the temperature of the processing means 4 is changed. |
