PURPOSE: To provide a timing assurance circuit which can detect the abnormality of a timing signal and can assure a normal timing signal without requiring such extra operations as the monitoring of the timing signal itself, the judgement that is done based on the reduction decided by a synthetic test, etc. CONSTITUTION: The timing assurance circuit is provided with a timing detection part 2 which calculates the checksum of at least a single cycle of a timing signal, and a timing decision part 3 which compares the calculated checksum with the normal checksum value stored previously. Then the abnormality of the timing signal is detected and a normal timing signal is assured based on the result of comparison obtained at the part 3. |
