PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector having a contact terminal ensuring solder connected wiring free from separation. CONSTITUTION: A contact terminal 1 has a retainer 3 for holding and temporarily fastening a conductor 12 on the opposite side of a contact section 4 at a position adjacent to a connecting section 2. The retainer 3 is flat bent at an inclination angle with a connecting plane, and has a groove 6 open to an end section. The groove 6 has a narrow section 7 of smaller breadth than the diameter of the conductor 12 at least at a part of the edge thereof. After the conductor 12 is led deep into the groove 6 via the narrow section 7, the retainer 3 is plastically deformed under an external force, so as to narrow the breadth of the groove 6, thereby clamping the conductor 12. |
