PURPOSE: To provide an exposure device capable of easily performing the adjustment of laser power corresponding to the specification of an electrophotographic device. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a beam generating means, a beam detecting means 2 for detecting the power of the laser beam emitted from the beam generating means and converting the detected value into the voltage, a comparing means 4 for comparing the detected voltage with the preset reference voltage and detecting the potential difference of the detected voltage with respect to the reference voltage, and a beam output control means 5 for controlling the beam output from the beam generating means in dealing with the potential difference of the detecting voltage corresponding to the reference voltage, and also the comparing means 4 is furnished with circuit means 8a, 8b, 9, 10, 11 and 12 capable of setting the plural reference voltage corresponding to the specification of the electrophotographic device, and by connecting the electrophotographic device with the circuit means, the reference voltage corresponding to the specification is automatically set. |
