Filaments (2A) are separated by reflectors (3A,3B), radiating 120 deg. apart from the lamp axis. The diffusing face (5) of the lamp envelope (4) has three corresponding sectors tinted in primary colours (yellow, blue and red). Opt., the lamp face is plain and a 3-sector diffusing glass fitted over it in the parallelepipedic lamp-box. The lamp cap (6) is connected through its socket, on a printed circuit board in the box rear, to electronic control circuits responding e.g. to the audio ranges 700 - 1000, 1000 - 2000, and 2000 - 3000Hz, giving light intensities for each filament as a function of frequency within its allotted band, as the musical input varies. Box design allows for ganged mounting.
