PURPOSE: To improve attenuation characteristic at the outside of a pass band of the filter with less number of components by forming two coupling resonance lines to a dielectric block to form a band elimination dielectric filter BEF. CONSTITUTION: An inner conductor in a resonance line hole 2a (3a) is connected to a rectangular electrode 2b (3b) respectively at each end face of a dielectric block 1. An outer conductor is mainly formed to each side area of the dielectric block 1 except dielectric bases 2c, 3c at the outside of the electrodes 2b, 3b. Then the dielectric bases 2c, 3c are open ends ofλ/4 resonance lines 2, 3. The inner conductor of the resonance line hole 2a is connected to the outer conductor at the other end face of the dielectric block 1 to form aλ/4 resonance line 2. Furthermore, the inner conductor of the resonance line hole 3a is connected to the outer conductor at the one end face of the dielectric block 1 to form aλ/4 resonance line 3. The resonance lines 2, 3 are structured in axis symmetry in the dielectric block 1 to form attenuation poles providing the BEF function too.
