The procedure, e.g. for the undersides of ceilings, floors, roofs, walls or other surfaces encountered in building or civil engineering, consists of applying woven glass fibre strips to the surface, which should be dry, free of grease and non-powdery, using a suitable adhesive. The exposed surface of the covering strips has a coating of PVC and a protective varnish, and the strips are fitted with overlapping edges of 5-10 cm, using a suitable adhesive. The woven fibreglass strips can have a coating of acrylic varnish on one side and of PVC on the other, designed to give an antibacterial, anti-cryptogamic and fire-resistant treatment.
