PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a crack in a metallic film in the vicinity of a laser beam machining portion when laser beam machining is carried out in the circumferential part of an LCD color filter. CONSTITUTION: A metallic film removing part 3, which surrounds the whole circumference of a laser beam machining objective area 3a in a metallic film 2 on a glass substrate 1 and is provided with the predetermined width, is previously formed, and then, laser beam machining is carried out by radiating a laser beam onto the laser beam machining objective area 3a. As a result, energy of the laser beam scarcely affects a non-laser beam machining area, so that the occurrence of cracks is prevented. |
