PURPOSE: To enable filter processing to be performed corresponding to a stage of an arithmetic speed by storing a filter group which can perform filter processing at the stage of a set speed, and selecting a filter corresponding to a requested speed. CONSTITUTION: A frequency range volume rendering method detects the moving speed of a mouse when a viewing direction is determined with the mouse, prepares filters by stages of a processing time which is set linearly, and selects a filter by indicating a stage of the processing time according to the moving speed of the mouse (step 100). The filter processing is performed by the selected filter and its output data are processed through inverse Fourier transformation to calculate image data (step 200). The processing speed of moving picture formation is smoothly controlled through the series of processes with the moving speed of the mouse and moving picture processing matching with such human visual sense characteristics that detailed parts can not be recognized as the speed becomes faster can be performed. |
