Guide equipment for lift cars and counterweights

The equipment has a single pair of rails (3a,3b) to guide both the lift car (1) and the counterweight (2) of a lift system. The rails may each be formed in a T-shape, and may be able to be, or may already be, connected to a fastening component. Each of the rails may also be formed in a double T-shape, with the lift car and the counterweight running along opposite parts of the rails (11,12). The rails may be fastened to the wall (7) of the lift shaft by a transverse member, and may be aligned such that the lift runs along their outer parts, and the counterweight runs along their inner parts.
