Cpds. of formulae (SIL-X-)mIN (I) SioO0-1(-X-IN)p-R<4>20+2-p (II) (where SIL = Si(R<1>)(R<2>)(R<3>); R<1> = 1-8C alkyl, haloalkyl or alkoxy, 2-8C alkenyl, alkenyloxy or acyloxy, 6-10C aryl or aryloxy, or dialkyl, diaryl or alkaryl- methyleneaminooxy with 1-4C alkyl or 6C aryl; R<2>,R<3> = R<1> or X-IN; X = CnH2n; IN = photoinitiator or photosensitiser with≥1 aromatic ring having carbonyl gp.; m = 1-4; n = 2-12; R<4> = R<1>; o = 2-20000; p = 0-1; where X and the carbonyl gp. of 1N of an ortho aromatic gp. are bonded). Also claimed is a process for the prepn. of the cpds.; and a light sensitive mixt. contg. the cpds..
