<p>A decorative coat, eg. for the exterior surface of a building, is provided by applying a top coat of plaster material on top of a keyed rough coat, floating the top surface so that it is flat and smooth, sponging the floated surface to bring particulate material such as sand to the surface, and then rolling the surface whilst it is still plastic with a roller with a random distribution of pits and projections to compress the surface and provide a random pattern thereon. The roller is also claimed.</p> |
