FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cathode uses plate 1, which on both sides has sections of dielectric material, located at least on one of its vertical edges at the level of coming in contact with the plate of several separators providing for peeling of the upper edge of deposited zinc layers. Plate 1 is provided with a groove passing at the level of the mentioned areas of dielectric material, the groove accommodates part 5 of dielectric material whose thickness is equal to that of plate 1; part 5 has flat surfaces that are coplanar with the surfaces of mentioned plate 1. Part 5 and the groove are provided with means that prevent displacement of the mentioned part in any direction. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
