PRODUCTION OF AROMATIC CARBONIC ACID ESTER AND CATALYST USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To obtain the ester by carrying out disproportionation reaction due to transesterification reaction of an aliphatic aromatic carbonic acid ester in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst of a mesopore titanosilicate not dissolving into a raw material and exhibiting sufficient activity and selectivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing (C) an aromatic carbonic acid ester of formula II is to carry out disproportionation reaction due to transesterification reaction of (A) an aliphatic aromatic carbonic acid ester of formula I [R<1> is a 1-10C alkyl; R<2> is a (substituted)aryl] in a liquid phase in the presence of a mesopore titanosilicate as a heterogeneous catalyst. Furthermore, a catalyst having >=500m<2> /g specific surface area and >=0.2-cm<3> /g volume of pores having 1.3nm to 20nm pore diameters and 30-1000 atomic ratio of silicon to 1atom of titanium in the mesopore titanosilicate is preferably used as the catalyst of the component B. At least one peak of powdery X ray diffraction pattern of the mesopore titanosilicate has preferably face interval larger than 1.8nm.
