<p>PURPOSE: To protect not only a head part of the human body but also the face or the upper half of the body over a wide range by forming a structure to control the unfolding direction by arranging plural straps in the top direction and the outer peripheral direction inside of an air bag so as to wrap a head part or the upper half of the body at air bag unfolding time. CONSTITUTION: Plural top direction control straps 15 are installed over an almost central part of topside cloth 12 from an opening peripheral edge part for an inflator of landside cloth 13 of an air bag, and plural peripheral direction control straps 14 are installed over the bottom side cloth 13 and a sewing part 16 of the top side cloth 12 or its vicinity similarly from the opening peripheral edge part for the inflator, respectively, and the unfolding direction of the air bag is controlled. In a helmet having the air bag, since the opening peripheral edge part of the bottom side cloth 13 and the sewing part 16 are not connected by the peripheral direction control straps 14 shorter than these mutual respective parts, sagging is formed in the air bag at actual use time, and it swells in the direction for protecting the face of the human body or the upper half of the body.</p> |
