PURPOSE: To obtain electrically conductive ceramics capable of baking at low temperature and useful as a current-collecting member or an exotherming element for a fuel cell having hydrogen/steam stability. CONSTITUTION: Mixed powder of oxide powder of the group IIIa element of the periodic table with Cr oxide powder and oxide powder of a metal of an alkaline earth element such as Ca, Ba, Sr or Mg is calcined at 1000-1600 deg.C to prepare a perovskite-type complex oxide and a compound of at least one metal selected from Ni, Fe, Co and Mn in a ratio of 0.01-40 atom % based on total metal element amount, expressed in terms of metal is added to the complex oxide and the mixture is formed and then baked at 13001700 deg.C in an oxidative atmosphere to provide the objective electrically conductive ceramics consisting of a main crystal phase composed of the perovskite-type complex oxide and the second phase composed of a metal compound containing at least one metal selected Ni, Fe, Co and Mn. |
