PURPOSE: To obtain a mouth-washing agent consisting of a baked material of oyster shell, having safety, excellent in rachis-branch-suppressing effect and exhibiting sterilizing or antimicrobial effect upon intraoral bacteria. CONSTITUTION: This mouth-washing agent comprises a baked material of an oyster shell (preferably having <=43μm average particle diameter). The baked material of the oyster shell is preferably obtained by baking oyster shell at 900-1200 deg.C for 20-45min by a method applying an electric current to oyster shell to generate heat. The baked material of oyster is preferably used by mixing calcium oxide type baked material obtained by baking oyster shell with calcium hydroxide baked material obtained by making water absorbed into the baked material at a weight ratio of (4/6) to (6/4). Furthermore, when the baked material of the oyster shell is dissolved in water to prepare the mouth-washing solution, 2-5g of the baked material based on 1kg water is preferably used.
