PURPOSE: To obtain an external preparation having excellent skin-beautifying effect, comprising tocotrienol as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: This external preparation comprises tocotrienol as an active ingredient. A mixture having a weight ratio ofα-tocotrienol:γ-tocotrienol:δ- tocotrienol in a range of A (95:4.8:0.2), B (0.5:99:0.5), C (5:45:50) and D (46:4:50) in a triangular diagram is preferable as the tocotrienol. Tocotrienol of a palm oil obtained from African oil palm of the genus Elaeis such as Blaesis-guineensis native to West Africa is preferable as the mixture. The amount of tocotrienol added to a cosmetic is preferably 0.05-1wt.% based on the total weight of a composition.
