The piston has a main body of aluminium alloy, and an indent arrangement, to determine a number of piston ring indents on the outer periphery of the body. It also has a device to act against wear of the indent arrangement. This consists of an aluminium alloy with preselected particles. There is a connection unit between indent arrangement and wear device. The indent arangement has an upper ring indent, and is cast around the wear device. This is formed as a ring. The anti-wear particles contain silicone carbide (SiC) particles, which correspond to 5 - 25% of weight.
