The sheet support (16) hinges (14) at its bottom edge. A strut (20) hinging on its rear side engages at its free end in a locking device. The rail (30) of the latter is fixed to the strip (10) supporting the hinge, and forms a chamber (28) running in its lengthwise direction. This has a slot (26) running in the lengthwise direction and open towards the end of the strut at the side. A locking bolt on the strut passes through the slot into the chamber, engaging in one of several grooves (36) in the slot bottom edge (34). A release bar (38) with smooth top edge (50) moves between a position where this edge is below the grooves and one where it is flush with the bottom edge of the slot, being actuated by hinging of the sheet-support.
