The invention concerns peptides from the human parathyroid hormone (hPTH) sequence (1-37) and containing alpha -helical amino acid sequence regions and/or non-structured amino acid sequence regions. The said peptides are capable of inducing antibodies when injected into animals. The invention also concerns a diagnostic agent and antibodies obtainable by vaccination of animals with the peptides in question.
