The pincers have two levers (2,3) joined by one link (4). The levers have lever arms (5,7) ending in two handles (9,10), and two grippers (23,24) which are staggered in position outside the angular range (39) covered by the lever arms (6,8) on the teeth side. A C-shaped basic body (16) has one gripper element (23) near one end. The other end may be joined to the tooth-side lever arm (6) so that the main plane along which the basic body extends is at right angles to the main plane (12) covered by the lever arms. The basic body may be pivot mounted on the tooth-side lever arm so that it can especially pivot by more than 180 degrees.
