PURPOSE:To prevent a double image and low contrast by providing the 1st polarizing plate outside of the 1st substrate, providing a light reflecting layer on the internal surface of the 2nd substrate, and providing the 2nd polarizing plate on the light reflecting layer in contact. CONSTITUTION:The 1st substrate 23 made of transparent glass has the 1st prallel-stripe transparent electrode group 21 adhered to the internal surface and the 1st polarizing plate 22 adhered to the external surface, and on its internal surface, the light reflecting layer 24 and 2nd polarizing plate 25 are stacked. Further, a transparent thin film 26 is formed of nylon 11 and on it, the 2nd parallel-stripe transparent electrode group 27 is provided at right angles to the 1st transparent electrode group 21 to obtain the 2nd substrate 28 made of glass; and the circumference of these substrates are sealed with a spacer inbetween and a liquid-crystal layer 29 is held between the substrates. |
