摘要 |
An electrical generator provides an output at a main stator winding 10 which is excited by a main rotor winding 9. The main rotor winding 9 is connected via a rectifier 8 to a main exciter rotor winding 7 which is excited by a main exciter field winding 5. A control circuit controls excitation of the main exciter field winding 5 so as to stabilise the generator output voltage. The control circuit includes a detector 28, 29, 30 for detecting excessive generator output voltage and a transistor switch 25 for connecting a resistor 24 in the current recirculation path of the main exciter field winding 5 so as to prevent transient over-voltages caused by sudden load reductions. A detector circuit 31 - 34 detects a short circuit to ground of the field winding 5 to switch off a transistor 21 and cut off the supply to the winding 5. <IMAGE> |
