<p>Spraying apparatus employs hydraulic nozzles (10,56) for creating a spray, and air knives (12,57) for creating air blankets which convey, direct and contain the spray. There may be modular units each having a row of nozzles between a pair of knives whose blankets converge at a shallow angle on the spray. Units may be arranged to mimic the shape of plants to be treated. Thus a planar array for passage along a row of fruit bushes may have horizontal units (60) extending over the top, upper units (62) extending downwardly and outwardly, and lower units (64) extending downwardly and inwardly. <IMAGE></p> |
