PURPOSE: To easily remove a thing caught in a window so as to enhance the safety by operating a power window device not in a window closing direction but in a window opening direction when a thing is caught in the window, even though a close switch is erroneously manipulated. CONSTITUTION: If anything is caught in a vehicle window during the window being closed by manipulating a power window up switch 3 at the driver's seat, a level comparing part 13 compares a motor drive current with a catching detection reference current. As a result, if the motor drive current is larger than the catching detection reference current, it is judged as occurrence of catching, and accordingly, a catching determining part 17 delivers a catching occurrence signal to a motor drive signal 9 and a catching mode switch change- over part 7 so as to stop the operation of a driver's side power window motor 1, and then to open the vehicle windows at once. |
