PURPOSE: To enable an efficient inputting of characters by reducing troubles in changing the kind of input character information, etc. CONSTITUTION: When the power source is turned ON, a display control part 23 expands image data of one screen, stored in an information memory part 22, on a display buffer 24 and then displays the data at an information display part 26. An operator (not shown in the figure) indicates an optional character displayed at the information display part 26 with an input pen 13 and then coordinate information on the indicated point is outputted by a coordinate decision part 14 to a gate circuit 15. The gate circuit 15 holds the coordinate information with effective information generated by an effective information detection part 17 by the switch-ON operation of the input pen 13. When a CPU 16 inputs the effective information, the coordinate information held in the gate circuit 15 is read out and stored in an information buffer 18, and then character font information corresponding to the coordinate information is read out of the information memory part 22 and sent out of an interface 19 for data output to a data line 20. |
