PURPOSE: To provide a rotational torque interrupting device for a color image forming device whose constitution is simplified to restrain the rise of cost, where residual vibration caused at the time of interrupting torque is prevented and irregular color and the misalignment of registration are prevented without increasing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of an output shaft angular velocity sensor 22 provided on an output shaft 22A outputting the rotational torque to a fixing device 8 and a developing device 7, a temperature sensor 14A detecting the temperature of load (the developing device 7 and the fixing device 8), a warm-up completion signal generation circuit 14 outputting a warm-up completion signal based on the temperature detection signal of the sensor 14A, a load axial velocity arithmetic operation circuit 15 arithmetically operating the difference of the angular velocity between input/output shafts based on the velocity detecting signal of an input shaft angular velocity sensor 21 and the sensor 22, a clutch driving voltage setting circuit 16 setting driving voltage impressed on electromagnetic clutches 13A ad 13B based on output from the generation circuit 14 and the arithmetic operation circuit 15, and a clutch control circuit 17 driving the electromagnetic clutches 13A and 13B based on the driving voltage. |
