PURPOSE: To prevent a smell of a container itself from influencing contents by providing one or more layers of thermoplastic resin layers containing hydrophobic molecular sheave in constituent layers between an outermost layer and an innermost layer of a laminate material in the paper container for liquid comprising the laminate material having a cardboard layer as a base material. CONSTITUTION: In a paper container for liquid formed of a laminate material 100 including a cardboard layer 122 being an intermediate layer as a base material, one or more thermoplastic resin layers 121 containing hydrophobic molecular sheave which is inorganic crystal substance having a honeycomb-like inner cavity with aluminosilicate are provided in a constituent layer between an outermost layer 110 and an innermost layer 130 of the laminate material 100. Thus when the laminate materials 100 are stacked after print is applied on a surface of the outermost layer 110 during a box-making process, a smell of print ink is adsorbed by the most inner layer 130 of the material 100 stacked upward or the hydrophobic molecular sheave of the thermoplastic resin layer 121 to avoid influence to contents.
