Gaming machine with multiple chance-generated symbols

The coin-operated gaming machine has a display arrangement (18) to display symbols indicating win or lose combinations and a control unit with sequence control where a random number generator generates symbols to be displayed. Each symbol has an allocated result space, and the symbol sequence is determined by use of a pseudo-random number generator outputting a number until a matching number is found in the result space. On a matching comparison the matching symbol is displayed.
