Cover for conveyor belt sections of variable length

Over the conveyor belt section is located a tarpaulin (43) of flexible material, whose one end is coupled to a fixed point, e.g. the conveyor frame. The other end of the tarpaulin is fixed to the variable end of the belt section, e.g. the deflection roller (27). The second end is coupled to a drum (44) of a width. Pref. holders are provided for the support of the tarpaulin, with at least some holders slidable along the conveyor belt section. They may be secured to roller supports of the belt section. The drum serves for the tarpaulin winding and may be located at the changeable end of the belt section.
