<p>Improved methods for wet cleaning gases to remove barely soluble gaseous pollutants such as mercury metal or nitrogen monoxide. A potent oxidising agent is used to oxidise the pollutants on the surface of the droplets dispersed throughout the gases to be cleaned. The resulting oxidised pollutants have increased solubility and may be transferred into a scrubbing liquid.</p> |
